A WREATH FOR UDOMO

A brief set by Faber where we had to redesign the book cover “A Wreath For Udomo” by Peter Abrahams and create promotional material for its re-release.

The book cover represented the entanglement within the character and how the pressure of it all built up within him until it was all too much and he couldn’t escape. The colours chosen were inspired by UK (where the character studies) mixed with the imagery, to represent his modern and traditional views merging.

I created posters and tickets for an event where people can come together to discuss black history through the renowned author Peter Abrahams. Sharing insights on the book about the struggles, the idealistic views explored and the rise and fall of great potential African leaders.
